Health and safety tips for Delivery Heroes

  • Wear a mask whenever you are stepping outside of your home
  • Do not drive or deliver food if you’re feeling sick. If you are feeling sick, stay home and consult a doctor.
  • To reduce contact with the user, drop off the parcel at the user's doorstep and stand at least 3 feet away from the door. Encourage users to pay with digital payments for contactless delivery.
  • Wash your hands with soap for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer as often as you can.
  • Cover your mouth and nose when you sneeze or cough, do so on your elbow or a tissue.

Contributing to Mission Save Bangladesh

Mission Save Bangladesh is one of the many of our ongoing CSR projects. We are very pleased to be a part of this project which was initiated by Sheba.xyz, in partnership with The Daily Star and The Daily Samakal.This initiative ‘Mission Save Bangladesh’ was taken to fight against the economic repercussion caused by Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Apart from these two, we have a few more ongoing CSR projects.

In the light of the pandemic we are continuously working with the ICT Ministry, a2i, diverse government bodies, e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (eCAB) and other industry colleagues to firmly ensure that a critical supply chain is maintained.
With a few exceptions, most of our employees are working from home as remote agents as a part of the social distancing policy which needs to be followed in light of the recent crisis. Furthermore , we have also cancelled all non-essential company travel and events.
You can now order groceries, essentials and medicine from Pathao to be delivered in less than 40 minutes. You can access Tong and Pharma by going to our Food vertical and then to the Tong/Pharma section.
You can send and receive packages between anywhere in Dhaka without ever leaving your house with the new-and-improved Pathao Parcels.
We have been training our riders and delivery agents to provide contactless delivery for their safety as well as the safety of our users. Our delivery agents have been trained to stand at least three feet away from the door of a household they are delivering at or to leave the parcel at a designated spot decided by the user.
We have been distributing safety kits to our riders to make sure that they stay safe while serving you. We have also been trying to ensure their income so that they can earn and support their families.
