On 17th July 2018, DMP (North Division) and Pathao Limited, organized a workshop regarding Traffic Safety Awareness, where many Pathao Riders were given training and awareness sessions on Traffic Safety Laws by the DMP (North Division). The main topic of discussion was “Understanding and Following Traffic Regulations.” The program was held at 12 pm noon, at the Airport Police Box.

Mr. Probir Kumar Roy PPM, Deputy Police Commissioner (Traffic North Division) as chief guest, Deputy Police Commissioner (Traffic Gulshan Division) Mohammad Nazmul Alam as a special guest and Additional Deputy Police Commissioner (Traffic North Division) Rahima Akhter Lucky, were present at the event. At the end of the event, Pathao Riders were given helmets and raincoats by Pathao authorities. Here to mention that Pathao as a part of their #MovingSafely campaign, has distributed over 5,000 helmets in the past few months. Moreover, they announced during the event that, they plan to distribute 15,000 more helmets in the months ahead.

Chief Guest Deputy Police Commissioner (Traffic North Division) Mr. Probir Kumar Roy PPM praised Pathao by saying that, Pathao is a popular ride-sharing platform, through which people can quickly travel from one place to another. So, to decrease the risk of road accidents, this is the perfect time to initiate such awareness programs with Pathao Riders. He requested Pathao riders to be more aware of traffic rules and regulations for the betterment of the people and for the benefit of the country.

Regarding this ceremony, Pathao Vice President, Kishwar Hashemee on behalf of Pathao Bangladesh expressed his gratitude to the DMP (North Division) for organizing this traffic awareness program for our Riders. He also mentioned that Pathao is a platform which empowers lacs of Riders to earn an income while enabling hundreds and thousands of people to reach their destinations on time. Hence it is much appreciated if DMP (North Division) facilitates a learning experience for Pathao Riders on traffic-related safety rules and regulations. He also mentioned that Pathao will arrange many more such awareness programs, with the help of the DMP. He specially mentioned that ’Pathao is also providing thousands of helmets free of cost from our walk-in-centres so that Pathao riders hand them to users for safety.”

Present at the event were, Pathao Vice President Kishwar Hashemee, Marketing Manager Nusrat Jarin, Operations Manager Mahfuzul Amin Sheikh and a few other officials from Pathao.
