Tell us something about yourself

I have grown up in Dhaka. My father used to work in Dhaka University. Currently, I am working in the marketing department of a company. My family consists of four members. Besides my job, I share rides with Pathao.

How has Pathao brought changes in your life?

When I didn’t have my own motorcycle, like everyone else, I had to stay gridlocked during traffic jams. Not only did it waste my time, but it also hampered my work. Whenever bikers passed by me, I would look at them longingly. I wished that they would say, “Come on brother, let me drop you off to your destination.” I bought a motorcycle as soon as I could afford it. Wherever I went, I tried to help anyone who was stranded on the streets. “Come on, I’m also going towards that area. Let me drop you off,” I used to say. Most of the time, people were suspicious or were taken aback. One day, all of a sudden, I got to hear about Pathao. At one of their events I signed up as a rider. Pathao gave me the opportunity of helping people through ride sharing.

Tell about your experience with Pathao:

Being a Pathao rider, I meet many kinds of people. While communicating with them, I get to know about the outlook and mind-set of each and every user. There’s a vast scope of learning new things. I once was introduced to a user who was affiliated with a blood donation agency. Because of to that connection, I got the chance to work with him later. On another occasion, I was acquainted with a lady whom I transported from a university to her home. At first, I thought she was a student, but she turned out to be a lecturer. Out of the blue, she instructed me to halt the bike. I was astonished! I was wondering whether I had made some kind of a mistake or not. As I stopped the bike, before I could say anything, she smiled and said that she was just craving some bhelpuri. She also asked me to join her. My surprise knew no limit. All these good behaviour and trust are my biggest achievements.
